Job Summary:

As a Frontend Developer at Grab Republic, you will be integral to our development team, responsible for creating the client-side of our web applications. You will work closely with UI/UX designers and backend developers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides to define how the application looks and works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features with a focus on responsive solutions.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back end.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them into operations and activities.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Frontend Developer.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
  • Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, ReactJS, or Vue.js.
  • Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Good knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
  • An understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
